Getting started with Workshop

The Workshop module runs vehicle service and repair jobs from booking to gate-out.

Typical flow

1. Book the customer in Workshop > Appointments, or start straight away with New job card.
2. Record the vehicle, the customer's complaint and the mileage on the job card.
3. Assign the job to a bay and technician. Progress shows in Job queues > Work in progress.
4. Add parts and labour. Parts requests go to the Parts Desk.
5. If the customer must approve extra work, send it through Approvals or Quotations.
6. When the work is done, the job moves to Ready to invoice. Create the invoice and take payment.
7. Issue a gate pass so security can release the vehicle.

Tips

• Set up bays, labour rates and reminders in Workshop > Admin before your first job.
• Service reminders bring customers back for their next service automatically.
